“Vespa velutina and other invasive invertebrates species” is the event organized by the LIFE STOPVESPA Project and the Velutina Task Force of COLOSS that will be held in Turin (Italy) the 21, 22 and 23 of March 2019. The 21st of March the programme foresee the COLOSS Velutina Task Force Meeting reserved to members of the COLOSS Association.

The Italian website dedicated to Invasive Alien Species (I.A.S.) is available for the public since few months (http://www.specieinvasive.it/index.php/it/), providing a description of many invasive species of Union Concern that are able to generate considerable impacts on the environment and the biodiversity, including Vespa velutina.

During a three days meeting, from the 11th to the 13th of April, different experiences about the management of Invasive Alien Species carried out both in Italy and Europe will be compared. An in-depth analysis about national and international reference legislations (D.L. 230/2017; Reg EU 1143/2014) will also be carried out. The LIFE U-SAVEREDS project “Grey squirrel management and conservation of red squirrel in Umbria” will offer this occasion, by organising a final event in Perugia
