Trained teams are involved in the neutralization and removal of Vespa velutina’s nests in the project area.

The reports received by citizens are verified by the monitoring teams or by local beekeepers. If the reports are positive to a Vespa velutina nest, the neutralization teams are activated for the intervention, which will be performed within 48-72 hours from the reporting.

If nests are difficult to be reached, the teams can contact the Civil Protection Department or the National Fire Corps to organize a coordinated intervention.
